ABOUT GOSIA
Gosia has been involved with music and dance since she was 6 years old. Her first major passion was salsa-on-2 and she has been a dance instructor since 2006. After her participation in the first kizomba workshops in Poland in 2007, she passionately fell in love with the dance and, as a result, trained under many famous kizomba instructors, including AfroLatin Connection and Kwenda Lima. Gosia has since been spearheading the Polish kizomba scene as Warsaw's premier kizomba instructor and is credited as the current Polish Kizomba Champion. She regularly teaches at kizomba congresses around Europe. In 2012, she participated in the AfricaDancar competition in Portugal and qualified for the finals. As an instructor, Gosia puts a lot of emphasis on musicality in her classes as she believes that this is the most important aspect of dance. To support this concept, she focuses on body motion and styling as a means of expressing the music. Gosia has terrific understanding of theory and mechanics of the dance and really breaks down for her students not only how a particular move can be executed, but also the why behind it. We are excited to bring such an extraordinary instructor to our city! Please join us in welcoming Gosia to Seattle kizomba.
Here is Gosia's kizomba demo.
Here is a performance video of Gosia and her students to her own choreography:
